ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN -REVIT
The role requires 1 to 3 years NZ experience in this field – Experienced Architectural Technician required with confidence in producing accurate architectural and construction drawings.
Our Architectural design and technical team is buoyant and growing with several large and varied projects on the rise. The practice is therefore recruiting an ambitious person to join its busy office on Auckland’s Northshore. The company has a vibrant, diverse culture that provides a very supportive work environment.
Our focus is on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. We want a reliable, motivated, determined individual to fill a permanent full-time role.
REQUIREMENTS NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE:
- Up to 3 years relevant industry experience in NZ.
- Proficient in Revit, must be well experienced in using this software and new digital way of working.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, including the New Zealand Building Code, the New Zealand Act, the Resource Management Act and local by-laws, consent procedures and planning regulations.
- Good understanding of NZ construction materials, methods, detailing and practical knowledge of NZS3604, NZS 4229 & NZBC Acceptable Solutions, how to apply and use them.
- Must have the know-how / practical knowledge of building and resource consent procedures.
- Experience with submitting consents to the council.
- You should be confident in taking conceptual drawings and converting them accurately into construction drawings ready for consent and build.
- Must be confident in liaising with Clients, Engineers, Builders and Councils.
- Quick and efficient problem-solving ability to Client, Council and RFI’s.
- Experienced in carrying out site measures.
- Excellent work management skills and Multitasking is essential in this role. Must be able to prioritize projects.
- Excellent time management skills, to meet deadlines and work quickly but efficiently under pressure.
- A must-have thorough and exceptional listening as well as written + verbal communication skills, the ability to communicate and liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and council in a professional manner.
- Capable of working independently and unsupervised is essential for this role.
- A person who’s patient, well organised, reliable, dependable, honest, and loyal.
- NZ drivers Licence.
- Eligible to work in New Zealand
Deal with clients and consultants and take a project from concept stage to resource consent to building consent and till code of compliance.
